After-Facade
Here are the concepts of this collection:
1) Facades are designed to create a relatable image.
2)The nature of facade forbit its subject to change its form and meaning. (The importance therefore isn’t what it is but what it is taken as.)
3)The purpose of a facade is to disguise something that is “unpleasant.”
4) What is “unpleasant” is inherently defined by the aesthetic of societies. (As a corset is designed to create an illusion of slim waist as big waist was taken to be “unpleasant,” while now this idea of a beautiful body is widely criticized and denied.)
5)Thus, the idea of facade as a positive change is false, and thus the action of creating facade is feeble and, to some extent, pathetic.
6) In conclusion, the action of creating a facade and the form of facade hugely reflects the interactions between subjects and the societies they are in.
